Let’s Celebrate Books on World Book Day!

world book day eyesNow in its 16th year, World Book Day is back to promote the importance of reading. Here at Blackpool Library Service, we understand how important reading is for your child’s personal development and we know it’s fun too! We have an endless array of picture books for your children to devour- filled with magical imagery of faraway lands and mystical creatures!
On March 7th, we are bringing local school children into our libraries to spend this special day with us- filling our children’s areas with their hushed tones and excited shrieks as we guide them through the many pleasures of reading.

Blackpool Library Service- World Book Day

Whilst World Book Day is primarily aimed at children, this year, we’re doing a little something for you as well. We know that we wouldn’t see their tiny feet in our libraries without your bigger feet next to them, so we’ve planned some special events especially for you!
