Call Margaret Rutherford

Call Margaret Rutherford is based on the tumultuous life of Oscar-winning actress, Margaret Rutherford, who rose to prominence during World War II. Her vast and varied roles turned Rutherford into a household name as a beloved stage and film actress.
Pilton herself stars as Rutherford, as she arrives on her bicycle having been summoned from the afterlife during a rehearsal of Blithe Spirit. Upon entrance, she begins to address the audience in her familiar comedic way- revealing unusual and fascinating secrets still largely unknown today.
