National Bookstart Week

We invite you and your little ones to dress up as your favourite characters from your favourite fairytales and join us in celebrating Bookstart week with these special events.

Wednesday 26th June
Layton Library – 1-2.30pm
I believe in fairies, I do, I do! Come down to Layton Library to join other little fairies for a magical afternoon; with stories, songs, crafts and games.

Friday 28th June
Palatine Library – 10-11.30am
Sprinkle yourself with some fairy dust and enjoy a fairytale themed Rhythm & Rhyme session at Palatine Library.

Moor Park Library – 10-10.30am
Enjoy the land of make-believe and magic at our fairytale themed Bounce & Rhyme event at Moor Park Library.

Saturday 29th June
Central Library – 10.30am-12pm
With a special appearance from the Bookstart Bear, join us at Central Library for stories, songs, games and activities. Help us make a beanstalk to climb to faraway magical lands.

At Blackpool Library Service, we’re firm believers that you’re never too old for fairytales! We’re sprinkling some fairy dust all over Twitter and writing our very own Twitter Tale, follow #bpoolfairytale and get involved.
