January’s Book of the Month

It may be a little late, but Happy New Year to all our lovely readers! According to Psychology Today, January 17th is the day when most people give up their New Year’s Resolutions, but we’re not giving up that easily. Our New Year’s Blogging Resolution is to recommend a book a month, featuring reviews from different library assistants across Blackpool libraries.

Book of the Month Fuse by Julianna Baggot
Science Fiction

If you loved The Hunger Games, you’ll love this…

This is the second book in the Pure trilogy.
When the world suffered the horrific aftermath from detonations, the population was split into the Pures who live in the Dome and the Wretches who live in the wastelands. Fuse continues the brutal story of the struggle for survival.
A brilliant and intense book; perfect for readers who have never read science fiction before.

Recommended by Lynne from Central Library.
