Bring all the family alone for a magical Story Safari around our wonderful Stanley Park. With surprised to find around every corner there is lots of Safari themed fun for all ages.
Follow that twisty track to find the Giant Pigeons, the fantastic Bubble Breathing Dragon and the amazing Tower Menagerie. Is that one of those mysterious cats or a dancing bird behind the tree?
And look around the corner, there’s a herd of furry cuddly animals, near that watering hole waiting for you to join in their story time.
Cluck, cluck, cluck is that Chicken Licken down by the lake? Hurry along there’s lots more to do! You can make an animal mask, your own Safari storybook and a big bird box for your books!
Have you listened to the Just So Stories yet, sing-a-long with the Blackpool Soundwaves or track down the shy mythical Blackpool Poolie?
Look! There’s a Save Our Stories rescue craft and our school’s Poolie Land! Bring along a family picnic, make your own mask, or take part in a range of activities. There’s lots of free fun to be had with the Grand Theaatre at the Wordpool Family Day this summer! In celebration of the upcoming family show The Tiger Who Came To Tea, and there’s still so much more too!
Our Story Safari Map will help you find your way around so pick one up at
our registration points (located at the Visitors Centre, the Clock Tower and
the Italian Gardens). We’ll be there rain or shine so dress for the weather!
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
To take part in all the Story Safari activities will take you about 2 hours, so
plan to start before 2pm if you don’t want to miss anything.
