As it’s National Bookstart Week this week, here at Moor Park Library we have embraced the Under The Sea theme and put on displays to whet your appetite!
Over by the travel section, a Caribbean beach scene awaits to create inspiration for your summer holiday. Follow the flip flops to exotic locations as a plane flies overhead across a sunny sky to mysterious places. Map your destination to far flung places in a sunny seaside setting!
If something to read on holiday is what you are looking for, try our ‘Sea’ Something Different display of adult fiction. Sail away with Alexander Kent’s The Darkening Sea or embark on the mysterious James Patterson’s Sail and then drop anchor to dive into Tom West’s The Titanic Enigma. Whatever you like to read from John Banville’s The Sea to Fern Britton’s A Seaside Affair we have something for everyone, so dip your toe in the water and try something new.
For the children this week the Under the Sea theme continues. On Wednesday – Shake, Rattle and Read told some fishy tales and on Friday our Bounce and Rhyme will be bobbing along and singing until it’s time to wave goodbye!
