Be Online in Libraries

Whether you’re looking for a new job, learning new skills or how to grow your own business the internet has the tools to do it. But if you’re not confident using a computer, tablet or smartphone, it can be difficult getting started. That’s why we are here.

If you’ve never touched a computer or just need to brush up your skills contact your local library for information about where our volunteers will be or when the next  computer course begins.

Recently we had a Be Online event and combined with Fairtrade we helped lots of people get online and also learn about supporting farmers in developing countries. Fairtrade tea and coffee were available along with biscuits, chocolate and bananas!

At Layton Library, regular visitor Norman joined the Fairtrade celebration for his 85th birthday and at Anchorsholme Library the Crime Reading Group took part incognito!
